He is gorgeous, enormous, and stinky...smells like what avocados taste like. . . (Somehow, this makes sense to me.) The smell permeates the air even 100ft away - it smells a little like sulfur, also a little like dirty dishes. The flower is gorgeous. A scientist here at UC Davis is studying the sulfur gases - hence the bizarre looking wires.
Apparently Ted will be in bloom for 48hrs, so we may have to visit the stinker another time before he wilts and shrivels up.
