On Wednesday, we drove West out to the coast of the Yucatan to Reserva de la Biosfera Ria Celestun. This area is famous for nesting flamingoes. Here, we took a boat-ride to see the mangrove forest, flamingoes, and other waterbirds.

In all, we saw many species of birds, those which we saw, have boxes around them in the images below (ibis, pelicans, vultures, a spoonbill, cormorants, great blue herons, etc) :

Flamingos really are the coolest birds. I'm sorry that their reputation has been sullied by the lawn ornament industry.
Love their reflections in your photo. It looks like they're leaking flamingo into the water.
