Lights, camera...

We set out Saturday morning to see Maurica and (Andrew's cousin) Cliff in Berkeley. Fully intending to spend the evening in San Francisco, we never made it. We met Maurica and Cliff for some lunch and then headed out to Urban Ore, a store reselling the stuff they collected from the local dump. Their motto: "Our purpose is to end the age of waste by advocating and developing total recycling. We receive unwanted things and sell them as-is for reuse." Yeah well, we found a lamp. . . Cliff is a lighting and electronics guru. The lamp was outfitted with a transformer for fluorescent bulbs. We went to his glass shop and rewired the light so when Andrew and I got home, all we had to do was turn off the power and screw it into the ceiling. Thank you Cliff!

This place sounds sooooo cool. I would like spend every day there looking for crap(haha) that I wanted to turn into other not-so-crappy stuff. Lamp turned out super cool. Nice to have electrical type around too!!! Anyone who has a glass shop is just super nifty.

d- you would love this place. it's hysterical - hundreds upon hundreds of toilets alone! hysterical. yes, we are considering kidnapping (cousin-napping?) Cliff for good so he could be our full-time electrical dude. what do you think cliff?
