Peruvian Earthquake

A very large earthquake (7.9) and more than 70 aftershocks hit Peru, south of Lima, last night. In a country with little infrastructure and finances, this is quite a hit.

So, did you guys go near where the earthquakes hit? I'm going to have to go back to NeedleFrish adventures in South America...

D - we were in Lima and a little South of the capital. But, not in Pisco where it sounds like much of the damage is. Though, several houses fell down in Lima. It seems so terrible when these things happen. The Peruvians are very strong people and will recover, but their government support is so weak. Very interesting place indeed. It's a 'must go', but try to schedule around the earthquakes.
